Assembly: Ganesh Chaturthi
Students of Class II presented a beautiful assembly to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi, the festival honouring Lord Ganesha on 09 September 2024. The assembly began with a calming and soulful prayer, invoking the blessings of Lord Ganesha, known as the remover of obstacles and the god of new beginnings. The students explained why Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated, highlighting that it was popularised by freedom fighter Lokmanya Tilak to unite people during the freedom struggle. The assembly demonstrated how we joyfully welcomed Ganesh Ji into our homes, decorating with flowers and lights and performing traditional prayers. Through a captivating dance drama, the children showcased how families lovingly cared for Lord Ganesha ji during the 10-day festival and finally bid him farewell during the immersion, wishing for his return the following year. The assembly concluded with a strong environmental message. The students urged everyone to use an eco-friendly Ganesh ji idol, emphasizing the importance of protecting nature and using sustainable materials for the festivals. The performance was engaging, informative, and filled with energy, leaving everyone inspired to celebrate responsibly and with devotion.
