Glee Gathering Day at School
Glee Gathering 2024- 25 for Nursery and Prep was conducted on Friday, 7 February 2025. The morning air crackled with excitement as the students gathered in the AV room for their morning dance assembly. Upbeat music filled the room with energy, and tiny bodies swayed and twirled with joy. Giggles erupted as they tried to mimic the teachers' moves, their colourful outfits creating a vibrant spectacle. It was a perfect start to the day, energising them for a day of learning and fun. Followed by Fine motor activity, wherein the little hands eagerly grabbed colourful papers, crayons, and paper streamers, glue transformed simple materials into imaginative creations. Next up was a captivating story-telling session of “ A Very Hungry Caterpillar” which grabbed students’ attention and left them with open mouths, repetitive sounds and wide eyes word after word, transporting them to the bug’s world. Laughter and gasps punctuated the narrative, creating a shared experience of wonder and glee. The day became more adventurous, as all the students, after their food break, dashed and dodged, their laughter echoing across the school playground, engaging in gross motor activities like hopping on one foot, playing stick and ball, and walking over the jigsaw maze. They developed coordination, teamwork and balance while having a blast. After this active session of physical skills, it was time to relax and watch an entertaining animated movie. This helped everyone to feel snuggled and with anticipation as lights were dimmed and students travelled into adventure land with the characters of the movie. Finally, the day ended with colourful goodie bags and gifts for each one of them created by their teachers, which made the students leave for home with trail of glitters and smiles.
