Adventure Night Camp 2024-25
An exciting Adventure Night Camp was organised for Classes IV and V students on 24 January 2025, offering a rich blend of learning, adventure and fun. Participants were divided into six groups and engaged in diverse activities across six segments.
In the first segment, students learned the fundamentals of pitching tents, an activity that fostered cooperation, enhanced problem-solving skills and provided practical knowledge. They also participated in obstacle races with multiple hurdles and kabaddi, promoting endurance and strength.
The second segment centred on creative cooking, where students prepared bhel puri and sandwiches without using fire. This activity emphasised nutrition, safety, teamwork and the joy of sharing.
The third segment, the highlight of the camp, featured Mr. Prakash Dey, a renowned science activist and astronomer from the Surat Astronomy Club. Under his expert guidance, students participated in an enthralling sky-gazing session, marvelling at constellations, shooting stars and planets like Venus, Mars, Saturn & Jupiter, while learning to identify celestial bodies. Mr Dey also delivered an engaging PowerPoint presentation on Indian satellites, sparking curiosity and leading to an enthusiastic Q&A session.
The fourth segment brought students together for activities & games that enhanced logical thinking, hand-eye coordination, and team bonding. The fifth segment, the campfire session, added to the excitement as students gathered to sing and dance, fostering creativity and a strong sense of community. The final segment was held in the refreshing morning breeze, where students played football and kho-kho to enhance their practical skills and physical fitness. Students documented their reflections and experiences in the Adventure Journal, treasuring the memories of this unique and successful camp.
