Gardening Week
Classes III and IV students participated in an educational gardening project in school from 23 to 27 September 2024. This initiative was designed to instil a profound appreciation for the world of plants and nurture a keen interest in gardening among our young learners.
The students of Class III undertook a unique task of planting the seeds of wheat, jawar, ragi, bajra and rice in small pots. Class IV students were engaged in an equally captivating endeavour, planting fenugreek and coriander in pots. Through this, they observed the gradual growth and development of these aromatic herbs and meticulously documented their observations. The diligent efforts of students extended beyond planting; they maintained weekly records of observations to monitor the progression of these plants. This holistic approach gave the students a profound insight into the intricate life cycles and growth patterns of various grains and herbs. This initiative represents a meaningful step towards nurturing a greener, more environmentally conscious and plant-loving community.
