Ambedkar Jayanti Assembly
Students of Class V-A conducted an assembly to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, on 11 April 2025. The assembly aimed to honour the life, legacy and teachings of the principal architect of the Indian Constitution and a champion of social justice. The assembly began with the morning prayer, followed by the thought of the day. A powerful and informative speech was delivered that highlighted the major milestones of Dr. Ambedkar’s life – his struggles against untouchability, his remarkable academic journey, his role in drafting the Indian Constitution and his lifelong dedication to social reform and equality. After the speech, a quiz was conducted for the students. The quiz was interactive and engaged the students actively. They performed a role-play in Hindi depicting key events from Dr. Ambedkar’s life – including scenes from his school days, the challenges he faced due to caste discrimination, his academic excellence and his leadership in drafting the Constitution. The assembly concluded with a vibrant dance performance on the "Jai Bhim Anthem" by a group of students. The energetic performance celebrated Dr. Ambedkar's contributions and left the audience inspired and enthusiastic. The Ambedkar Jayanti Assembly was a memorable and educational experience that reminded everyone of the importance of justice, liberty and fraternity in a democratic society.
