Inter House Vocabee Competition
Students of Classes IX-X participated in the Inter House Vocabee Competition on 20 July 2024. This year the theme of Vocabee was ‘CONSERVATION,’ inspiring participants to explore the power of words in promoting environmental stewardship. Guided by hosts Kirtan Sarvaiya (IX-A) and Aarav Shah (X-B), the event was a linguistic journey that kept everyone captivated. The competition comprised four engaging rounds. The first round, Letterpillar, required participants to accurately spell words after hearing them. In the dynamic second round, Twin Talk, contestants showcased their linguistic prowess by nailing the correct synonyms and antonyms of the given words. The third round, Treasure Hunt, presented a challenge with jumbled words that needed decoding. Finally, the fourth round, Turn of Phrase, brought an exciting twist as participants delved into the world of idioms, identifying them through intriguing images. Beyond testing vocabulary, the competition provided students with thrilling challenges that demanded quick thinking and creativity. It was an opportunity for them to showcase their linguistic prowess and appreciation for the richness of language.
