10 TH DPST MODEL UNITED NATIONS 2024-25

MUN or Model United Nations is a simulation of the United Nations conference where students role-play as delegates of different countries and attempt to solve real-world issues with the policies and perspectives of their assigned portfolio. With this motto, on  

on 26 November 2024 DPS Tapi organises 10th DPST MUN. Classes VIII and X students participated  as delegates representing different countries. The ceremony started with the flag march by delegates, Chair and Vice chairs along with different countries . After this Principal Mrs. Archana Bhasin gave a motivating speech to the delegates and declare the meet open. It provided an opportunity for students to view the problems facing the international community from a unique perspective. This event aims to encourage students to engage in diplomatic processes, negotiations, and conferences, fostering their dedication to global citizenship and international relations. The DPST MUN featured six committees to deliberate on contemporary global issues.

  1. UNGA (United Nations)
  2. UNSC (United Nations Security Council)
  3. ICAT (Inter-Agency coordinating group against Trafficking in person)
  4. UNEP (United Nation Environment Programme).  
  5. UNHRC (Union Nation Human Right Commission)
  6. IMF- International Monetary Fund (IMF)

Delegates  put forward their thoughts on various agenda:

  • Socio Economic impact of on-going Political conflicts on the world(special emphasis on going wars 
  • Concerning increase in competition and militarization of the arctic region 
  • Globalization and illicit market for Human trafficking - Empirical analysis for supply and demand.
  • Economic and Environment maximization of wind and solar energy. Decarbonization of Energy Production.
  • Integration of Affordable Technology to improve education in developing countries
  • The Impact of Global Trade Wars on Emerging Economic

At the end of the event outstanding delegates in each committee are recognized and given an Award, Certificate & the Best Delegate in each Committee. The winners are:
