Astronomy Night Camp (Class-IX)
The Astronomy Night Camp, held on 21 February 2025, at DPS Tapi, provided Class IX students with an exciting mix of science, outdoor activities, and interactive learning. The event began with a group photograph, followed by team sports like football, cricket, and basketball, which promoted physical fitness and teamwork. A highlight was a talk by Mr. Prakash Dey from the Surat Astronomy Club, who discussed space agencies and celestial events. This was followed by a sky-gazing session, where students identified winter constellations and planets, and captured the light spectra of stars. Students also engaged in creative activities, including Equation Escape and Math Sprint, enhancing their problem-solving skills. The next morning included more sports, tug of war, and a fun nature walk, promoting creativity and friendship among the students. Students identified various birds and plants. Overall, the camp offered a valuable opportunity for scientific discovery and personal growth.
