In the evening, they gathered around a campfire, sharing stories and experiences. The following day, the group travelled to the Modhera Sun Temple where they experienced the detailed stone carvings of gods, celestial dancers, and mythological scenes on the temple walls were breath-taking. Next stop was Rani Ki Vav, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Patan. Built in the 11th century by Queen Udayamati in memory of her husband King Bhima I, this stepwell is a stunning example of Maru-Gurjara architecture. Later in the day, the students visited Nadabet, a well-known area close to the India-Pakistan border. It was a thrilling and patriotic experience. They had an enjoyable time learning about life in the surrounding villages, the equipment and artillery used by the Border Security Force (BSF), and were treated to an impressive display by the brave soldiers. On the third day, the students returned to the Wild Ass Sanctuary in Banjana, visited a salt pan and learned about the traditional methods of salt production, which have been practiced for centuries. Later, they visited the historical site of Lothal, visiting Lothal gave them a glimpse into the advanced urban planning and engineering skills of the Harappan civilization. As they returned home, the students were filled with memorable experiences and a wealth of historical knowledge.
