Experiential learning to the Science Centre
Experiential learning is a teaching approach that emphasizes learning through direct experience.
Students of Class VIII visited the Science Centre, Surat on 06 August 2024. During their visit, they explored The Khoj Museum, the Fun Science Gallery, the Space and Astronomy Gallery and finally, the Diamond Gallery of the Science Centre. Students interacted with various scientific principles through engaging displays and activities. This experiential learning excursion provided a dynamic environment where students could explore scientific concepts through hands-on activities and interactive exhibits. Unlike traditional classrooms, which often rely heavily on lectures and textbook learning, science centres offer opportunities for students to experiment, observe and engage with real-world applications of science.
