National Nutrition Week
National Nutrition Week is observed annually in the first week of September in India. As part of this, various activities were organized in the school for students from classes VI-X, aimed at raising awareness about healthy eating habits, nutritional value of food, and overall well-being. The week-long celebrations encouraged creativity, teamwork, and critical thinking among students, aligning with the theme of promoting balanced diets and healthy lifestyles.
Students of Class VI participated in a vibrant and informative poster-making activity titled "Eat Right, Stay Bright." Through their artistic creations, they showcased the benefits of eating nutritious meals, the food pyramid, and the significance of including fruits, vegetables, and whole grains in daily meals.
The students of Class VII demonstrated their culinary skills by preparing vibrant, nutritious salads in the activity called "Wholesome Garden Bowl."
Class VIII students took part in an innovative and fun-filled activity titled "Fruit Fusion Delight," where they created fruit-based cakes without the need for baking, using fresh fruits, yogurt, nuts, and natural sweeteners etc.
In the "Ingredient Insight" activity, students of Class IX explored the significance of understanding food labels. This interactive session involved reading and interpreting nutrition labels on various packaged foods to assess their health impact.
Class X students engaged in a debate-style discussion titled "Battle of the Bites," where they tackled important nutritional topics.
The hands-on, creative, and discussion-based approaches allowed students to grasp key concepts of nutrition in an engaging and memorable way.
