Veer Bal Diwas
Veer Bal Diwas was commemorated on 26 December 2024 across the nation to celebrate children as the cornerstone of India’s future. A series of activities were held on 23 and 24 December 2024, centred around the theme ‘Veerta,’ given by CBSE highlighting acts of courage, kindness, and resilience demonstrated by children.
For students in the Middle and Secondary Stages, from classes VI to X, various activities were organized to honour the bravery of the Sahibzades, the sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The event featured essay writing competitions on topics such as "My Vision for a Viksit Bharat" and "Role of Children in Nation Building," emphasizing India’s progress and the pivotal role of youth in shaping its future. Students also recited poems that celebrated the bravery of the Sahibzades and underscored the importance of children in nation-building. Additionally, digital presentations on India's development, covering aspects such as technology, education, and unity were created. These activities prompted students to contemplate their responsibilities towards the nation and motivated them to contribute to India’s advancement.
The event was a resounding success, filled with activities that fostered a sense of responsibility and pride in the students, inspiring them to contribute to the nation's future and embrace the values essential for their growth and development.
