Earth Day Activities

Earth Day is a proof that even one person can make a global impact in a positive way. Echoing the same, Delhi Public School Tapi celebrated “The Earth Day”  with an array of creative activities from 21nd April to 25th April. Students from Classes VI TO X enthusiastically participated in a creative activities  focused on sustainability and eco-friendly practices. Using waste materials, they transformed everyday items into useful and artistic objects. The event began with a brief discussion on the principles of upcycling, highlighting its significance in reducing waste and conserving resources.

Students of Class VI showcased their innovation by crafting pen holders, paper bags, and natural scenery collages using old newspapers. These projects highlighted the importance of recycling and how waste can be turned into something both functional and beautiful.

Students of Class VII took their creativity a step further by making plant holders from plastic bottles and candle stand holders using plastic spoons. Their work not only promoted the reuse of plastic but also demonstrated how simple materials can create decorative and practical items.

Class VIII students participated in a hands-on eco-friendly activity. Students reuse the plastic bottles as plant containers, fill them with soil, and plant the microgreens. This activity encouraged awareness about recycling, sustainability, and the importance of growing plants.

“The Trash to Treasure Challenge” was a creative and inspiring activity organized for students of Classes IX and X, focusing on the concept of upcycling—transforming waste materials into useful and aesthetic items. Students enthusiastically embraced the challenge, working individually to craft innovative items such as pen holders, planters, and organizers from discarded materials.

Their creations reflected not only their creativity but also their understanding of environmental responsibility. It was a fun, educational way to honour Earth Day and inspire sustainable habits.
