World Labour Day Assembly
The morning of 28 April 2025 witnessed a vibrant and meaningful assembly conducted by Class IX B to celebrate World Labour Day. The assembly aimed to honour the efforts of all workers who contribute tirelessly to the development of society. The programme began with a solemn prayer seeking blessings for all those who work hard worldwide, setting a positive and respectful tone for the event. The thought for the Day followed this. After this, students presented information on World Labour Day, explaining its historical significance, tracing its origins back to the labour movement in the 19th century, and emphasising the importance of respecting every form of work. To further highlight the dignity of labour, the students of Class IX B staged a short but powerful skit titled "The Hands That Build the Nation". The skit depicted various unseen heroes — sanitation workers, farmers, factory workers — and conveyed a strong message about respecting all kinds of labour. Students recited a heartfelt poem composed specially for the day. The poem beautifully captures workers' tireless spirit and determination across different sectors. Finally, the assembly concluded with a lively dance performance celebrating the spirit of hard work and unity. The energetic performance, set to a motivational song, filled the environment with positivity and pride.
