Baisakhi Skit
An enthusiastic and culturally enriching special assembly was conducted by class VII B at Delhi Public School Tapi on 15th April 2025 to celebrate the joyous festival of Baisakhi. The event was a beautiful tribute to the spirit of harvest and the historical significance of the day in Sikhism.
The assembly began on a spiritual note with a prayer, followed by a thought for the day that highlighted the values of unity, gratitude, and cultural pride associated with Baisakhi. Students then performed a skit on the formation of the Khalsa Panth, portraying the historical moment when Guru Gobind Singh Ji established the Khalsa in 1699, emphasizing bravery, equality, and faith.
Adding to the festive mood, students donned traditional Punjabi costumes and showcased a lively and energetic Bhangra performance, filling the atmosphere with cheer and enthusiasm. Colourful posters made by students depicting the essence of Baisakhi and Punjabi culture were displayed, further enhancing the spirit of the celebration.
The assembly concluded with a message on the importance of cultural heritage and communal harmony, leaving the audience both informed and inspired.
